The Ideal Cut is still the benchmark by which all diamonds are judged to this day. 

Since Marcel Tolkowsky published his thesis 'Diamond Design' in 1919, neither computer nor man has identified a better way of cutting a round brilliant diamond.

Abraham Tolkowsky established the Tolkowsky diamond dynasty.  He was an eminent jeweller in the 1800s and developed a following among the nobility of the day.

Marcel TolkowskyIn 1919, and with all the knowledge and expertise of the family ingrained in his DNA, Marcel Tolkowsky invented the 'Ideal Cut' for diamonds - setting the standard for all diamonds today. 

His innovation changed the world of diamonds forever.

Gabi TolkowskyThe Tolkowsky Diamond Dynasty grew even stronger when this expertise was passed on to Gabi Tolkowsky and then Jean Paul Tolkowsky.
