17000 Kilometers for Diamonds

Jenni Franich of John Franich Jewellers will shortly be travelling to the Diamond Capital of the World ...Antwerp, Belgium – where two thirds of the world’s diamonds are traded. While there, Jenni will have the opportunity to buy direct from the major Antwerp cutters and pass significant savings on to our customers .

John Franich Jewellers has direct access to the Antwerp diamond trade as the area’s exclusive member of the Nationwide Jeweller’s Group. The Nationwide Jewellers group is part of the Independent Jewellers Organisation (IJO), an international Buying Group and Educational organisation for retail jewellers. IJO has almost 1400 members in the US, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and the US Virgin Islands, and maintains buying offices in Antwerp for the use of its members.

It is generally out of reach for a single jewellery store or small chain to buy direct in Antwerp. One of the benefits of our Nationwide Jewellers membership is that we become a direct importer of Antwerp diamonds and can save our customers the normal middleman’s fee. We are very excited about our ability to offer this unique service to our customers, and look forward to making their diamond dreams come true.

This year, Jenni is privileged to travel to South Africa and Botswana en route to Belgium in order to be part of the second group of retailers ever to visit the world’s largest diamond mine and the De Beer’s Diamond Cutting Factory.
